A few days ago at Drigg-church, Mr. Wm. THOMPSON, clerk of the
parish-church, to Miss Hannah WALKER. 
[According to the Copeland Registers Index, they married on 09 Feb 1777.
According to the Marriage Bond, he was aged 30 and she aged 19.] 
 
DIED 
 
Last week at Appleby, greatly lamented by his parishioners and other
acquaintances, the Rev. Mr. TATEHAM, Rector of that place; a great concourse
of people attended his funeral: the pall was supported by Twelve Clergymen. 
[According to FamilySearch, (male) TATHAM, age 52, was buried on 27 Mar 1777
at St. Laurence, Appleby. According to the Clergy of the Church of England
Database, he was Sandford TATHAM, vicar of St. Laurence, Appleby, since
1757.] 
 
Last week at Wood-End near this town, Mr. NICHOLSON, aged 68. 
[According to the Copeland Registers Index, Richard NICHOLSON of Wood End
was buried on 01 Apr 1777 at St. Bees.] 
 
Tuesday last, in an advanced age, Mr. Joseph SHERMAN of Winscales. 
[According to FamilySearch, Joseph SHEARMAN was buried on 03 Apr 1777 at
Workington.] 
 
Wednesday last, at Workington, Mrs. Mary THOMPSON. 
[According to the Copeland Registers Index, Mary THOMPSON, widow, was buried
on 04 Apr 1777 at Workington.] 
 
At Peckforton in Cheshire, Mrs. FLEET, aged 109. 
[According to the Parish Register, Widow FLEET of Peckforton was buried on
01 Apr 1777 at Bunbury, Cheshire.] 
 
At Chester, Mr. ORME, organist of that Cathedral. 
[According to FamilySearch, Edward ORME, age 61, organist, was buried on 27
Mar 1777 at the Cathedral Church, Chester.] 
 
Last week at Crosby near Liverpool, Mrs. Mary MAKIN, aged 100. 
[According to Lancashire OPC, Mary MAKIN of Great Crosby was buried on 01
Apr 1777 at St. Helen, Sefton, Lancashire.] 
 
At Sunderland, James DONNISON, Esq.; one of his Majesty's Justices of the
Peace for the county of Durham. 
[According to the Parish Register, James DONNISON, Esq. of Sunderland, aged
62, was buried on 02 Apr 1777 at St. Michael, Bishopwearmouth.]
