Miss Betsy SHAW, second daughter of Mr. SHAW of this Custom-house. 
[According to FamilySearch, John STEEL and Elizabeth SHAW married on 16 Mar
1777 at Crosthwaite, Cumberland.] 
 
DIED 
 
Sunday se'ennight, at Ray Rigg in Westmorland, Fletcher FLEMING, Esq. in the
prime of life: a gentleman greatly respected by his acquaintances. 
 
Sunday se'ennight, at Ulverston, Mrs. IANSON, wife of Mr. J. IANSON, many
years a noted inn-keeper in that town.----And on Wednesday Mr. IANSON
himself died. 
[According to FamilySearch, Hannah JANSON, spouse of John, was buried on 18
Mar 1777 at Ulverston.; and John JANSON was buried on 21 Mar 1777 at
Ulverston.] 
 
A few days ago at Lancaster, Henry WHITE, Esq. 
[According to the Parish Register, Henry WHITE, Esq. of Lancaster was buried
on 25 Mar 1777 at St. Mary, Lancaster.]
