Note that the dates are usually not accurate - for example, the "Death"
event is usually when it was stated (like in the newspaper) that his
benefice was vacant due to his death. And obviously he wasn't schoolmaster
just for a day - presumably the only time they found evidence of him being a
schoolmaster was when he was appointed to his next job.

Any other details available of the Rev. Mr. Townson?

Most of our Townsons appear to be from Caton, Lancashire, but there were a
couple from Undermillbeck, Westmorland.
