A few days ago at Brampton, near Carlisle, Serjeant GUN of the 3d regiment
of guards, to Miss Mally ATKINSON of Brampton.

Last week at Preston in Lancashire, Joshua MARRIOT, of Rusholme, Esq. to
Miss WALLS of Preston.

Manchester, Esqr. and Ann WALL of this Parish Spinster married on 07 Jan
1777 at St. John, Preston.]
Last week, at Whitford near Holywell, Thomas PENNANT, of Downing, Esq. to
Miss MOSTYN, sister to Sir George MOSTYN, Bart. representative for the
county of Flint.

Friday last in London, -- GREY, Esq. to the Right Hon. the Countess of
Strathmore.

BOWES (previously LYON), 9th Earl of Strathmore. George GRAY was her lover,
but she married the adventurer Andrew Robinson STONEY. According to the
Parish Register, Andrew Robinson STONEY Esquire of this parish and the Rt.
Honourable Maria Eleanora Countess Dowager of Strathmore of the Parish of
St. George Hanover Square married on 17 Jan 1777 at St. James, Piccadilly,
London.]
Thursday last, at Aldstone, Mr. John FISHER, an eminent linen-draper in
Cheapside, London; to Miss WILKINSON, daughter of Adam WILKINSON, of
Nentbury, Esq. a truly amiable young lady, with a fortune of 10,000 l.

Friday last, Mrs. HARRISON, wife of Mr. HARRISON, master of the Work-house
in this town.

Last week at Hawksdale, near Carlisle, deservedly lamented, Joseph NICOLSON,
Esq. Steward to the Hon. the Dean and Chapter of Carlisle.

Hawkesdale, householder, aged 70, was buried on 16 Jan 1777 at Dalston.]
At Kendal, Mrs. PETTY, wife of Mr. PETTY of the King's Arms Inn there.

buried on 07 Jan 1777 at Kendal.]
At Carlisle, Mrs. GARTHWAITE, wife of Mr. GARTHWAITE, late master of the
Bush Inn in that city, now kept by his son in law, Mr. Wm. HOW.

buried on 08 Jan 1777 at Carlisle.]
