Monday se’nnight, about eleven o’clock at night George Bulmer, of Farlington, in the North-Riding of Yorkshire, strangled his wife as she was asleep in bed, by means of a muslin handkerchief, which he twisted in a manner of a chord for the purpose; from some suspicious circumstances appearing, he was apprehended: - the coroners jury brought in their verdict wilful murder; previous to which, Bulmer had confessed the fact. He is upwards of 60 years of age, and his wife not much above 30. The cause he assigned for committing this horrid crime, was that he became connected with another woman.
