At Penrith, on Saturday last, of typhus fever, Mr. Richard RICHARDSON, aged 22, fourth son of Mr. Wm. RICHARDSON, of Rickerby, and
brother of Mr. Thomas RICHARDSON, ironmonger, of this city.
At Penrith—On Friday se'nnight, Mr. John WILSON, aged 84. On Sunday last, Fathey NICHOLSON, aged 77. On Wednesday last, Mr. HUTTON,
father of Mr. HUTTON, solicitor, aged 91.
At Cockermouth, Mary, wife of Mr. Edw. SANCTON, woollen weaver, and innkeeper, aged 59.—Same place, Mrs. KILNER, widow of the late
Capt. KILNER, 61.
At Whitehaven, in Duke-street, Mrs. Margaret CAMPBELL, widow, aged 74.—In Cross-street, Mrs. HARE, widow.—In Strand-street, Mrs.
ALLINSON, widow.
At Litton, near Settle, in Yorkshire, on the 1st inst. Mr. Richard ARMITSTEAD, aged 91.
At Harrington, Miss Sarah GOULDING, aged 36. Same place, on Monday, Mr. Philip CATTIER, aged 15.
At Workington, aged 94 years, Mr. James MORRISON.
At Keswick, Mr. Mark DIXON, aged 88 years. The deceased was employed under Greenwich Hospital for upwards of half a
century.—Saturday week, at Keswick, Mrs. Nancy JOHNSTONE, aged 54.
On the 29th ult. aged 82, at Burton-in-Kendal, Mrs. PEARSON, a maiden lady, and aunt to the Rev. Henry SILL, Rector of Dean.
On the 4th inst. at Ulverstone, Mr. Edward COWARD, aged 72.—On the 6th instant, Phœbe POSTLETHWAITE, aged 55.
At Darlington, the Rev. David ROGERS, superintendent preacher of the Wesleyan Methodists.
At Newcastle, after a few days illness, brought on by damp feet, Mr. Thos. ELLIOTT, many years a surgeon and accoucheur of extensive
practice in that town.
On the 2nd inst., at the advanced age of 86 years, Philis TATE, mother of Miss TATE, of the Queen Catherine Inn in Kendal.—At
Kirkland [Kendal], Mr. Edw. PEARSON, aged 48; Mr. John NELSON, aged 74.—At Orton, Elizabeth, wife of Mr. Charles CAVIS, joiner, aged
30, and daughter of the late Mr. Anthony PARKIN, yeoman of Satterwath, near Shap Wells. [The surname should be DAVIS. Charles DAVIS
and Elizabeth PARKIN were married at Orton in 1820.] This is the sixth death in Mr. P.'s family within a few months.—On the 6th
instant, after a short but severe illness, Mr. John TYSON, of Brimmer-head, Grasmere, aged 72.—On the 6th, at Greenbank, in Cartmel,
advanced in years, Susan, the wife of Mr. Philip CADDY.
At Eaton Hall, on the 9th inst. Gilbert GROSVENOR, only son of Vis. Belgrave, and infant heir to the house of EATON, aged nine
months.
In the twentieth year of his age, Mr. M. D. W. FERREBEE, of Trinity College Cambridge, only son and heir of the late Captain
FERREBEE, of Langley Hall, Lancashire.
At Edinburgh, aged 24, Richard Beckwith CRAIK, jun. of Arbigland, Esq.
At Glasgow, on the 3d instant, Miss Grace CARLYLE, daughter of Mr. John CARLYLE, late merchant, Glasgow.
In November last, in the ship William, of Lancaster, on the passage from London to Savannah, Capt. Nicholas CARTER, aged 57, many
years in the Jamaica trade.
Suddenly, on Monday morning, Mr. MARRYATT, M. P. for Sandwich. He was the champion of the Merchant of Lloyd's, and the Atlas of the
West India Islands, especially of Grenada, for which he was the special Agent.
At Ballateare, Jurby, Isle of Man, Mr. Thomas TEARE, aged 56.—At the Strang, Mrs. Margaret OATES, wife of Mr. John OATES, aged 65
years.—Jane, wife of Mr. William QUAYLE, butcher, aged 28.—At Port Erin, Mr. John COOIL, many years parochial schoolmaster and clerk
of the parish of Rushen.
At Havering-atte-Bower, Essex, Miss BALLS, aged 63, celebrated for attachment to goats; she had at the time of her decease
twenty-four lodging with her in the house, sharing all things in common.
