[list-cumbria] Multiple births in 1823

"The wife of Leonard HODGSON, farmer, at Swetton-Dalagill, in the parish of Kirby Malzeard, near Masham, Yorkshire, was on the 16th
October, 1822, delivered of three remarkably fine boys. The same woman was on Christmas day, 1823, delivered of three fine girls, so
that in the short space of one year and ten weeks, she gave birth to six fine children, five of whom are now living."

These babies were the children of Elizabeth and Leonard Hodgson, who farmed at Swetton in Dallowgill, between Masham and Ripon.  Daniel, Edward and Leonard were all baptised at Kirkby Malzeard parish church on 17th October 1822, and similarly Elizabeth, Mary and Eleanor were all christened together on 26th December 1823.The child who failed to survive was Edward, who was buried in the churchyard on 22nd December 1822 aged only 2 months. Another daughter, Ann, was baptised at Kirkby Malzeard in 1827.What a handful!
