DIED-in 1760-William WRIGHT, labourer, Great Dunmow, aged 105; Thomas WISHART, Annandale, N. B, (he had chewed tobacco from seven
years old to his death) 124; Elizabeth BEAL, near Castle Howard, Cumberland, 111; John RIVA, a baker of Venice (he always chewed
citron bark and had a child after he was 100) at the age of 116; Amos M'DONALD, of Cork, 116; Elizabeth HUTTON, of Liverpool, widow,
aged 121.
In 1762-John RIDER, Greenhill, Dublin, 110; Bahua SOLOMON, a Turk, in Hamshire [sic], 103; Catherine BREBNER, Aberdeenshire, 124; a
Peasant in Poland in his 137th year; at Gratz, a man who had lived 135 years without illness, and had seen seven Emperors of
Germany; at Dijon, Toussaint MONTRAI, 112.
In 1763-Mrs. HALFORD, Wiptosh, Warwickshire, 110; J. PRATT, of Haltwhistle, 115; At Trento, in Italy, a Physician, 117, whose usual
diet was vegetables, and who had practised 96 years; John BATES, near New Salop, 103; Mr. OSBADELSTON, near New Whalley, Lancashire,
115; A labourer at Wells, Somerset, 106; At Geneva, Mons. FONTAINE, 103.
In 1764-David EVANS, of Greenwich, 114; Mrs. Elizabeth TAYLOR, of Piccadilly, 131; Mr. George BRETTS, in Ireland, with all his teeth
sound, 115; Sieur SOMBAYDE, in Hungary, 131; At Newent, Glostershire, a tailor, 107, retaining his faculties to the last, and
sometime before his death having a new set of teeth and nails.
In 1765-At Overyssel, George MAERTON, a fisherman, 118; At Lantwert Major, Wales, Major JOHN, aged 128.
In 1766-Mr. D. PRATT, Coverham, Oxfordshire, 112; At Newcastle, within 48 hours of each other, Roger DOVE, and Elizabeth his wife,
whose ages amounted to 202 years; James MACKAY, a shopkeeper at Cardigan, 120. Colonel Thomas WINSLOE, 146: he was captain in the
reign of Charles I. and a Colonel under Oliver Cromwell in Ireland; At Alcester, Geo. MOORE, a shoemaker, aged 109; he had been
married to nine wives. In Virginia, John DE LA SOMET, 130.
In 1767-In Maryland, Francis ANGE, 134; At Groningen, Abel GERBRONDO, a wheelwright, 118.
In 1768-At Burythorpe, near Malton, Yorkshire, Francis CONFIT, 150; having been maintained by the parish 60 years. Near Tuam,
Ireland, Catherine MOONEY, 136: her husband lived to 128. Martin RIDLEY, barber to King James I. in 1688, 104. At New Brompton,
Margaret FORSTER, 136: she had a daughter aged 104.
In 1769-Joseph GALE, Westport, Ireland, 129; Old Peter EDWARDS, the Watchman, 118; At St. Omer's, James OSWALD, a celebrated
mathematician, 105; William WOOD, a keelman in Northumberland, 113; Martha PRESTON, Barnsley, Yorkshire, 123.
In 1771-Mr. EURING, gardener, Market Lavender, Wilts, 105; At Fethard, Ireland, Widow CARMAN, 122; William COTTERELL, farmer,
