On the 30th ult., at Yarum, in Yorkshire, his 75th year, Mr. Thomas MILES, a native of Brampton, greatly respected.
On Sunday evening last, in Duke-street, Whitehaven, Mr. BOWNESS, aged 72, twenty-seven years cashier at Whitehaven Castle; a
gentleman whose integrity and diligence was duly appreciated by his noble employer, the Earl of Lonsdale, and every branch of his
Lordship's family. Indeed it may be truly said of Mr. BOWNESS that he possessed in an eminent degree the respect of all who had the
pleasure of his acquaintance.

At Workington, Mrs. Jane MORLEY, aged 25.-Same place, Miss Ann FEARON, aged 19.

On Sunday, the 23d ult., at Broom Hill, in the parish of Graitney, Mrs. RICHARDSON, in the 33d year of her age, universally and
deservedly lamented.-On the following Thursday, at a very advanced age, her maternal Grandmother, Mrs. MAXWELL, of Newtown of
Kirkpatrick-Fleming.

On the 18th of August last, at Battle-court Springs, in Virginia, on his way to New York, to join his wife, who had gone thither on
account of her health, Mr. Ainsley HALL, an eminent merchant at Columbia, in North America, aged 40 years. He was born and educated
at Balmburgh [sic] Castle, Northumberland; and in his adopted country, by his extraordinary mercantile enterprize, and his correct
manner of transacting business, not only amassed a large fortune, but contributed very extensively to the commercial importance of
Columbia.
