On the 15th inst. at Rockcliff Hall, Henry, the infant son of Henry FARRER, Esq. 

 

Yesterday morning, at her daughter's house, in Abbey-street, much respected, Mrs. COX, aged 74. 

 

Since our last, Mrs. Jane THOMPSON, of Paddonbeck, aged 71. Mr. David SINCLAIR, of Caldewgate, aged 81. In Caldewgate, Mr. Wm. BOYD,
butcher. 

 

On the 25th inst. Charles, the infant son of Charles TAWSE, Esq. Gayfield-square, Edinburgh. 

 

At Brampton, on Saturday last, Mr. Clement ROBINSON, aged 83.—Same day, Mr. James BELL, of Burtholm, near Brampton, aged 94. 

 

At Penrith, on the 23d inst. Mr. Wm. SEWELL, aged 20. Same place, on the 24th inst., Miss Ruth METCALF, aged 76. 

 

On Sunday last, at Hardbank Carding and Spinning Mill, parish of Hayton, Mr. John PROUD, aged 54, leaving behind his wife and five
small children. He possessed (says a correspondent) a remarkable talent for mechanics. 

 

At Cheltenham, Mr. John NICHOLSON, linen draper, of that place, a native of Basco Dyke, near Carlisle. 

 

In London, on the 16th inst. Mr. John CARMALT, aged 27, only son of the late John CARMALT, Esq. of Penrith. 

 

At Whitehaven, Mr. Thomas DIXON, Scotch-street, aged 62. In Quay-street, Sarah, wife of Mr. George FAWCETT. At New Houses, Margaret,
wife of Mr. William MARTIN, aged 69. 

 

Last week, at Romaldkirk, Mr. John DAY, formerly of Westmorland. 

 

At Cleator, Mr. William JACKSON, aged 52. 

 

At Workington, Capt. Robert KENDALL, of the Shannon, aged 43 years. 

 

After an illness of eleven years, aged 67, Mrs. NELSON, wife of Mr. G. NELSON, of Old Town, Kirkby Lonsdale. 

 

At Ravenstonedale, Mr. William HUNTER, carrier, aged 80 years. 

 

At Cleator, Mr. William JACKSON, cabinet-maker, late of Deal, in Kent. 

 

At Calderbridge, in the 65th year of her age, Elizabeth, wife of Mr. John FREARS, of Calder Abbey. 

 

Of a consumption, at Jamaica, on the 3rd of Sept. last, John, the second son of Mr. John BROMLEY, of Keswick, engraver, aged 27
years. 

 

At Everton, near Liverpool, in the 56th year of his age, Mr. Nicholas WATERHOUSE, one of the Society of Friends, a man whose death
will be much felt. 

 

At Liverpool, Jonathan BROWN, Esq. late of Falmouth, Jamaica, aged 62. 

 

At Crossmichael Village, Mrs. BRYCE, late of Creetown.—At Redcastle, on the 19th inst. Sam. CRAIG, Esq. 

 

On the 11th inst. in the prime of life, Robt. LORIMER, Esq. of Holmhead, residing at Kirkland, near Sanquhar. 

 

On the 17th inst. at Port Elliot, Cornwall, John, Earl of St. Germains, in his 63rd year. His Lordship succeeded his father, Edward,
the late Lord, in 1804, and was twice married, but dying without issue male, he is succeeded in his titles and estates by his
brother, the Hon. Wm. ELLIOT. [Surname should be ELIOT, and the seat Port Eliot.] 

 

On the 15th inst. in London, the Right Hon. the Earl of Portmore, aged 78. 

 

Lately, in London, Robert SORREL, M. D., formerly of Ingatestone, Hertfordshire [correct: Essex]. The deceased is supposed to have
died worth upwards of £200,000 acquired not by his industry, but by its rapid accumulation, owing to a disposition to spare and
save. 

 

At Langholm, on the 19th inst. at the advanced age of 90 years, Archibald BEATTIE, known by the name of Bauldy BEATTIE. Bauldy made
more noise in the world in his day than many who think themselves greater men, having for more than half a century discharged his
duties of town drummer, and crier of "the Langholm Fair." Although latterly compelled by the necessities of old age to accept of
parochial relief, he showed the natural independence of his mind, by depositing several years ago, in the hands of a neighbour a
small sum to defray the expences of his burial. 

 

Nov. 17, at Carr, parish of Drumbo, aged 106, Mrs. SMITH, widow. The year preceding her death, she acquired an entire new set of
teeth, and was enabled, even to the period of her dissolution, to thread a needle unassisted by spectacles.
