Yes, I know, David Huddart, the webmaster, posted them there to whet people's appetite.

Happy New Year everyone!

Hi Petra I have found some migrated newspapers under the "BLOG" heading on the new website.

Happy New Year to you all!

I had hoped that by now the new Cumbria FHS website would be up and running. Well, it is - but so far there is no facility on it to
post my newspaper transcriptions, nor are any of the old transcriptions on the website yet. Like all new web developments, there are
bound to be lots of glitches. Heaven only knows how long it will take for the new website to have a repository for the newspaper
transcriptions, and I don't want to wait many more weeks or months or even years before posting transcriptions again.

So, here we go - for the time being, I am only posting to the lists. If you want to see any earlier transcriptions, you'll have to
go to the list archives. In particular the archive of the Googlies list goes back right to the beginning of my transcriptions.

And please remember - transcribers (and I in particular) thrive on feedback. So please, if you want to keep me motivated, let me
(via the list) know when you find a relative mentioned. Or if you found something funny or interesting. Or if you have questions or
further information about a newspaper report. These lists need posts to keep them alive!
