DIED, 

 

On Monday last, in the House of Recovery, aged 22 years, John HESLOP, apprentice with Mr. WILSON, butcher, of this city. 

 

At Penrith, on the 7th inst., Jos. NANSON, aged 57. 

 

On Sunday last, at Keswick, Mrs. Mary DOVER, widow, aged 91 years. 

 

At Whitehaven, Ann, daughter of Mr. John THOMPSON, mercer, King-street, aged 8 years. 

 

Saturday night, at Egremont, Mr. Edward PENNY, cooper, aged 63 years. 

 

At Workington, Mr. Richard LINDLE, aged 56. 

 

At Maryport, suddenly, where he had gone for the benefit of his health, Mr. William SCOTT, of Cockermouth, cabinet-maker, in the
prime of life. 

 

At Leece, Low Furness, Mr. William GARNER, aged 87, of most eccentric character, invariably adhering to the customs and mode of "by
gone days." 

 

Very suddenly, in London, on the 8th inst. Mrs. CURTIS, formerly of this place, aged 48, a woman truly pious and exemplary conduct,
and whose loss will be deeply lamented by a numerous circle of relatives and friends. 

 

At Woolwich, on the 18th instant [sic], Mr. Joseph LANGHORNE, sergeant in the Royal Artillery, aged 38. 

 

At his residence in Oxford, in the 72nd year of his age, the Rev. George THOMPSON, D. D. eldest son of the late John THOMPSON, Esq.
of Bongate Head, near Appleby, principal of St. Edmund Hall, Oxford, and Vicar of Bramley, and the united parishes of Milford and
Hordle, Hants. 

 

At Liverpool, aged 44, Ann, relict of the late Mr. Peter KAY, and daughter of the late Rev. Thomas HARVEY, of Underbarrow,
Kendal.-Same place, the Rev. Dr. FEARON, assistant-lecturer of St. John's Church. 

 

In Mosley-street, Manchester, Henry BANNERMAN, Esq. aged 70. 

 

At Wheatley, near Doncaster, Sir George COOKE, Bart. in the 80th year of his age. 

 

At Cargenholm, on Saturday last, in the 69th year of his age, Mr. John PALMER, bricklayer. 

 

At Speddoch Mill, on the 6th inst. Mrs. Robert CALLENDER, daughter of the late Mr. William LORIMER, Campbell-water, Closeburn. 

 

At Annan, Mr. Jonathan NEILSON, late of Port Annan, merchant and ship owner, aged 71. 

 

At Ayr, Mr. John WALLACE, writer. 

 

Mr. Christopher BRIDSON, of Ballagagary, in the parish of Malew, Isle of Man, aged 80 years. At Kk. Onchan, Edward QUINE, jun. son
of Mr. Edward QUINE of Ballaig. The deceased had gone into a field about two o'clock to get his father's horse, and was there seized
with sudden illness, of which he died. 

 

At Dublin, on the 6th inst. the venerable Judge FLETCHER. He was elevated to the Bench in 1806. 

 

Lately, in France, the celebrated French Marshal, DAVOUST, aged 53 years. Out of nine of BUONAPARTE's favourite leaders, who have
died since the war, namely, MARSENA, SERRURIER, KELLERMAN, ANGEREAU, BERTHIER, RAPP, NEY, MURAT, and DAVOUST, two only exceeded
their 53rd year. 

 

Lately at Avignon, Madame la Comtesse DE VILLELUME formerly Mademoiselle DE SOMBREUL, who saved the life of her father from the
cut-throats of the 20th of Sept. by drinking for them a glass of blood just shed.
