DIED.
On Sunday morning last, in Castle-street, Mrs. FEDDON, aged 91 [or 94?].
On Thursday last, at Botcherby, Mr. Joseph BOWMAN, Jun., aged 32.
Mrs. Catherine CARRICK, of Durdar, aged 70 years.
At Wigton, on Sunday the 1st instant, Miss KNUBLEY, daughter of the late Edward KNUBLEY, of Finglandrigg, Esq. Charitable without
ostentation, she [ ] liberally to the needy. Her religion was that of pure and unaffected piety; on earth, "her
conversation was in heaven, whence also she looked for the Saviour." She lived deservedly respected, and breathed her last, full of
faith and the sweet consolations of the gospel.
At Wigton, on the 8th inst. Mrs. S. REED, aged 74.
At Penrith, on Wednesday last, much regretted, Mary, the wife of Mr. John NICHOLSON, spirit merchant, and daughter of the late Mr.
William PARK, High Constable in this City, aged 28.
At Greengill, near Penrith, on Tuesday last, John, youngest son of John MARVELL, yeoman, aged 6.
At Ayrigg, Holme Cultram, Jane HAYTON, aged 20.
At Maryport, suddenly, Mrs. Jane SHARP.
At Keswick, Mrs. Mary ROOKIN, relict of the late Mr. George ROOKIN, aged 78.
On the 5th ult. very suddenly at Miramichi, Captain John DICKINSON, of the Richardson, of Maryport, in the prime of life, one of the
Society of Friends.
At Dornock, on the 8th instant, Miss Jane CARLYLE, daughter of the late John CARLYLE, Esq. of Dornock.
At Keld, near Shap, very suddenly, Mr. Edward LANCASTER, aged 87.
At Manchester, on the 6th inst., after a tedious illness, Wm. SHERRATT, Esq. in the 69th year of his age; a very distinguished
mechanist, whose numerous works bear ample proof of his science and ingenuity.
At Lincoln's Inn, on Monday, R. S. D. ROPER, Esq. of Trimdon, Durham, Barrister-at-Law.
In the 90th year of his age, at his house in Castle-gate, York, the venerable and pious Wm. TUKE; a member of the Society of
Friends.
On the 2d inst. aged 30, Mr. Henry Surtees GREENWELL, youngest son of the late Mr. Daniel GREENWELL, landing surveyor of the customs
at Newcastle.
Mrs. Sarah GRAVE, of Stainburn, aged 100 years.
At Douglas, Isle of Man, Miss Mary CHRISTIAN, milliner, aged 28 years.
On Friday the 29th ult. at Douglas, Isle of Man, in the 63d year of his age, Ambrose ST. JOHN, Esq. formerly member of Parliament
for Callington, and Lieut.-Colonel Commandant of the 2d Worcester Militia, eldest son of the Hon. and Rev. St. Andrew ST. JOHN, late
Dean of Worcester.
At his home, in Bath, on Tuesday, the 3rd inst. John TAUBMAN, Esq., of the Isle of Man; many years Speaker of the House of Keys.
At Kingston, Jamaica, on the 21st October, after a few hours' illness, Mr. Richard SYME, captain of the Adeona of Dumfries.
At Lochmaben, on the 5th inst. Mrs. RAE.
At Barras of Lochmaben, Margaret Greenlaw KERR, aged 21.-At Langholm-mill, at an advanced age, Mr. John GRAHAM, miller.
On the 22d September, at his seat, Handersdorff [sic - should be Hadersdorf], near Vienna, General and Field Marshal Alexander Baron
LAUDON. He was descended from an ancient and noble family in the county of Ayr, in Scotland, a branch of which settled in Livonia,
in which province he was born, at Totzer, in 1767.
On the 27th ult. at Tonderghie, (Isle of Whithorn,) John Don STEWART, Esq.
At Lincoln, on the 4th ult. aged 73, Mary MIDDLEBROOK, many years clerk of St. Benedict's parish, in that city. During the latter
part of her life she resided in the church belfry.
At Aonachan, Lochaber, aged 101, Mr. William MACKINTYRE, late tacksman of Druimfour.
