At Derby, of a rapid decline, the Rev. John Lindsay YOUNG, M. A. of Brazen Nose College, Oxford, Vicar of Cockerham, in Lancashire.
At Halliwell, near Bolton, Lancashire, Mrs. Ann M'DONALD, aged 108 years. She was laundress to Gen. WOLFE, during the siege of
Quebec, and was wounded in the head by the splinter of a shell.
At Chapelcross, near Annan, Thos. DICKSON, Esq. aged 78, father of Robt. DICKSON, Esq. Provost of Annan.
At Bengal, on the 16th of April last, Mr. John Mitchell SAMSON, eldest son of Mr. David SAMSON, farmer at Kelton, near Dumfries.
At Edinburgh, Lady GORDON, relict of the late Sir John GORDON, of Earlston, Bart.
At Paisley, of apoplexy, Robert DICKINSON, Esq. of Stramongate, Kendal, aged 62.
We are sorry to announce the sudden death of James WEDDERBURN, Esq. his Majesty's Solicitor-General for Scotland, on Thursday night,
the 7th inst. at St. Mary's Isle, Kirkcudbright, while on a visit to his sister, the Countess of Selkirk. He died of inflammation.
