At Madron, Cornwall, William GRENFELL, to Jane WERRAN. Both the bride and bridegroom being deaf and dumb! the responses were made by
the mother of the former and the mother of the latter.
DEATHS.
On Tuesday last, in English Street, Mr. John JEFFERSON, hair-dresser, aged 49.
On Sunday last, at Upperby, Jane CONWAY, aged 32 years.
On Monday last, at Rockliff, Jane RIGG, aged 77.
At Waverton, on the 27th June, Mrs. ATKINSON, at an advanced age.-Also, Mrs. TWENTYMAN, aged 75.
Lately, at Grenada, West Indies, John WAUGH, Esq. late director of the Post Office in that Island, and (we believe) a native of the
county of Cumberland.
Last week, in Dublin, after a few hours illness, Capt. John DAVIS, of the brig Nymphe, of Whitehaven.
Wednesday last, in Whitehaven, Mr. G. COWELL, formerly master of the Susannah, Liverpool trader.
Sunday last, the 30th of June, at his house in Scotch Street, Whitehaven, William DON, Esq. Captain in the Royal Navy, aged 80,
brother of General DON, Lieutenant-Governor of Gibraltar, endeared to a numerous and respectable acquaintance by his hospitality
and urbanity; and to the poor, by the exercise of a charitable disposition.
In Duke Street, Whitehaven, after a short illness, Mr. David EVANS, aged 78.
At Workington, Mr. Thomas FALCON, aged 57.
At Dumfries, on Saturday last, John, son of Mr. Wm. M'NAUGHT, guard of the Galloway mail-coach.
At Dumfries, last week, Mr. Wallace JOHNSTON, cabinet-maker, son of Mr. John JOHNSTON, innkeeper.
Last week, at Ballagawne, Isle of Man, in the 82nd year of her age, after a tedious and painful illness, which she bore with
Christian fortitude, Mrs. Jane GAWNE, relict of the late Edward GAWNE, Esq. and mother to the High Bailiff of Douglas.
At Castletown, Isle of Man, on Sunday se'nnight, in the 51st year of his age, John Frissell CRELLIN, Esq. his Majesty's First
Deemster of that Island; having held the situation of Deemster for the last 22 years.-His remains were interred in the family
burying vault, at Kk. Michael, attended by his Grace the Governor in Chief, and all the Officers of the Staff and Bar.-The Service
was performed by the Right Rev. the Lord Bishop.
Last week, in Portugal-street, London, the Right Hon. Lady Diana FLEMING. She was the only daughter of Thomas the late Earl of
Suffolk, and widow of Sir M. LE FLEMING, Bart. of Rydall, in the county of Westmorland.
