Last week, at Gretna Green, Mr. Richard BELL, to Miss Ann BLAYLOCK, both of Brampton.
On Saturday last, at Brampton Mr. Christopher GOODBURN, spirit merchant and grocer, to Miss Mary ROWENTREE.
A few days ago, Mr. John EWART, of Know, in the parish of Bewcastle, in this county, to Miss Eleanor BRICE, innkeeper, near
Stirling, North Britain.
At Langholm, Thomas WHIGHAM, Esq. of Hindley Wrea, Northumberland, to Mrs. Margaret Russell ELLIOT, relict of John ELLIOT, Esq. of
Cooms.
At Cross Canonby, on the 28th ult. Mr. Edward HAYTON, mariner, to Miss Sarah WILLIAMSON, both of Maryport.-On the 4th inst. Mr.
Jonathan HUST, mariner, to Miss Mary SMITH.-On the 5th, Mr. Wm. HOLLYWOOD, master of the Catherine, to Mrs. IRWIN, of Maryport.
DIED.
Last week, Jane FORSTER, of Cummersdale Mill, aged 52 years.-This week, James MOSES, of Caldewgate, aged 35.-John HOWDEN, of
Caldewgate, aged 64.
On Thursday last, at Kirkandrews, Mr. Joseph LIDDELL, aged 87.
At Penrith:-On Saturday last, Mr. William YOUNG, aged 26.-Same day, Christiana, wife of Mr. John ROBSON, blacksmith, aged 39.-On
Sunday, Isabella REDING, aged 63.-On Wednesday, Hannah SEWELL, aged 52.-On Thursday, Mary, wife of Mr. Wm. CARRICK, shoemaker, aged
45.
On the 31st ult. Mr. MONKHOUSE, of Scale, aged 54 years.
On the 4th inst. at Hayton, Mrs. Mary HAUGH, and on the following day Mr. John HAUGH, her husband. On Wednesday last, their remains
were interred in one grave at Aspatria-their united ages amounted to 181 years, both being in their ninety first year.
At Dumfries, Mrs. HARLEY, relict of John HARLEY, Esq. surgeon.
On Friday, the 27th ult. at her brother's house, Clerkenwell, London, Miss Lydia MUSGROVE, late of Cockermouth, in this county; her
loss is much lamented by a large circle of acquaintances.
On Sunday last, in Liverpool, Capt. J. STRICKETT, of the ship Retreat, of Whitehaven, aged 24 years, after a short illness: a young
man whose amiable disposition had endeared him to all who knew him, and whose loss is deeply regretted by his relations and friends.
On the 29th of November last, in the Island of Dominica aged 31, Joseph LEWTHWAITE, Esq., the youngest son of the late William
LEWTHWAITE, Esq., of Whitehaven.
At Low Mill, aged 78, Mrs. Mary NELSON, widow; late of Hensingham.
At Keswick, Mrs. HODGSON, relict of the late Mr. Robert HODGSON, of Causey-foot, aged 81.
On Saturday last, Mr. Justice DAMPIER.
On Sunday night, the Hon. Robert HOBART, Earl of Buckinghamshire, Lord HOBART, a Baronet, Clerk of the Pleas in the Exchequer in
Ireland, Member of the Privy Council, and of the Cabinet, President of the Board of Controul, &c. &c.
Admiral Sir Geo. BURLTON, Commandant on the East India station. It is somewhat curious that this able and experienced Officer died
in the same room with his predecessors on that station, Admiral DRURY and Sir Samuel HOOD.
On Thursday afternoon, at his house in Merrion-square, aged 87 years and 9 months, Joshua ALLEN, Viscount ALLEN, Baron ALLEN of
Stillorgan.
