At Penrith, on Sunday last, Mrs. Jane WATSON, aged 88.-Same day and place, Elizabeth STOCKDALE, aged 56. 

 

At Penrith, in the 21st year of his age, and after a severe indisposition, Mr. John WATTS, son of the late Mr. WATTS, of
Whitehaven.-A young gentleman of an amiable disposition, but whose lot has been most unfortunate. For several years past his health
was so indifferent as to debar him, in a measure, from enjoying society. Within the last few weeks his indisposition gradually
increased, and plainly indicated that he would not long remain an inhabitant of this earthly sphere; and although his approaching
end was made known to him, it did not shake his fortitude, for he remained tranquil and cheerful to the last.-His death has thrown a
gloom over his relatives and friends, who are very numerous, and from whose remembrance his virtues will not soon be obliterated. 

 

On Wednesday last, Mrs. BELL, of Batholme, near Brampton, at an advanced age. 

 

On Tuesday last, at Whitehaven, at an advanced age, Mrs. Jane PEARSON, many years an eminent minister in the Society of Friends. 

 

At Whitehaven:-In Queen-street, John, the son of Mr. J. FAIRCLIFF, butcher, in the 18th year of his age.-In Strand street, after a
short illness, in the 20th year of her age, Ann, the youngest daughter of Mrs. Dorothy CROSTHWAITE.-In the New Town, suddenly, Jane,
the wife of Mr. John BRIGHT, butcher, aged 67.-In Quay-street, after a long illness Mary, the wife of Mr. George STANWOOD. 

 

At Grange, in Borrowdale, Mrs. THRELKELD, wife of Mr. T. THRELKELD, aged 27. 

 

At Sosgill, in the parish of Loweswater, Mary, the relict of Mr. John MIREHOUSE, of that place, in the 70th year of her age. 

 

Mrs. JACKSON, mother of Mr. John JACKSON, of Hunter How, in the parish of Lamplugh, at the age of 100 years. 

 

At Keswick, Mrs. WESTWATER, relict of the late Mr. Robert WESTWATER, aged 70. 

 

The 11th instant, at Cockermouth, in the 86th year of his age, Mr. Joseph FALDER, a man of no ordinary talents and ingenuity, who
surmounted the disadvantages of a defective education, in a considerable degree, by the native powers of a vigorous intellect. His
temperance was so remarkable, that it almost rivalled the abstemiousness of a hermit. 

 

At Cumrew, Mrs. Ann WILKINSON, aged 93. 

 

At Wigton:-Mrs. DODD, widow, aged 73, mother of the Rev. Mr. DODD, much respected.-Mr. Joshua ATKIN, mason, aged 71.-Mr. William
TAYLOR, carpenter, aged 55.-J. SIMONDS, aged 65.-Mr. Joseph NOBLE, innkeeper aged 70. 

 

At Dumfries, on the 19th instant, Mrs. SHAW, widow of the late Nichol SHAW, Esq. of Shawfield, aged 67. She was of the most amiable
disposition, a sincere christian, and a true friend. 

 

At Loaning-foot, near Dumfries, Mrs. Janet MOFFAT, widow of the late John MOFFAT, of Mousewald-Townfoot, aged 70.-At the same place,
William, an infant son of Mr. James HASTIE. 

 

In Castletown, Isle of Man, Mrs. GELLING, relict of the late Mr. Daniel GELLING, of Douglas. 

 

In London, aged 21, William, the son of the Rev. Robert POTTS, of Penruddock, in this county. 

 

At the Vicarage, Wingrave, Bucks, the Rev. Thos. DIXON, A. M. Vicar of that parish, Fellow of Queen's College, Oxford, and Perpetual
Curate of St. John's and St. Bridget's, in this county. 

 

Lately, in the 55th year of his age, the Rev. S. HATTLEY, rector of Lilleshall, in the county of Salop. The deceased was formerly
curate of Gosforth, near Whitehaven. 

 

At Portinscale, near Keswick, Mrs. CLARK, wife of Mr. J. CLARK, aged 33. 

 

At Kendal, Mr. Anthony BOWNESS, hosier, aged 90; the oldest traveller out of Kendal, in that business. 

 

At Liverpool, suddenly, in the 75th year of his age, Mr. John WATTLEWORTH, late of Douglas, in the Isle of Man. 

 

On Monday morning, at the house of Her Grace's sister, Mrs. DALRYMPLE, in Portman-square, the Duchess of St. Albans, and her only
child, the infant Duke. These melancholy events took place close to each other; the son having died at three in the morning, and the
mother at six. The Duke died last summer. Lord William BEAUCLERK, brother-in-law to Her Grace, succeeds to the Dukedom, and family
estates. 

 

On Friday, the 16th inst. as his seat at Compton Verney, in the county of Warwick, after a short illness, the Right Hon. John PEGTS
VERNY [sic - should be John PEYTO VERNEY] Lord Willoughby De Broke, in the 78th year of his age. 

 

At Old Windsor, Mrs. PERRYMAN, in the 103rd year of her age, who till within a few weeks of her death, was in the constant habit of
reading in a bible of small print without spectacles. 

 

At Stranraer, Admiral Robert MACDOUALL, in the 87th year of his age.
