DIED.

On the 16th inst., at his house in Portland Place, London, Henry FAWCETT, Esq. one of the Representatives of this city.-The loss
which his family and friends have sustained by this mournful event, cannot easily be estimated: nor will any who know him, think the
short testimony which follows, by any means undeserved.-In simplicity of manners and integrity of character, he was the counterpart
of a father whose memory will be long cherished and respected. His talents for business were of the first order. To enlarged and
comprehensive views, he added a sound and sober judgment, an attention unremitting, a punctuality never failing. His Parliamentary
course, to the grief of this city, was very short. Yet it did not close before he had proved himself the honest and independent
member; the friend of the country and of his constituents; the zealous assertor of ther [sic] rights; the considerate and
indefatigable promoter of their interests. But he is no more! may he be succeeded by one like himself, independent, loyal,
judicious, and laborious!

Yesterday, in this City, aged 36, Deborah IVISON, one of the Society of Friends.

Last week, Robert DAVIDSON, of Abbey-street, aged 70 years.-John SEMPLE of Francis-street, aged 41; and this week, William JORDAN,
of Newtown, aged 45.

On Tuesday last, at Scar-Bank, near Longtown, Rebecca, the eldest daughter of the late Mr. John MOWATE, late surgeon of that place.
Her death is an irreparable loss to her two surviving sisters, to a numerous circle of friends, and to the neighbouring poor, of
whom she was a kind and zealous supporter. Her life was spent in the active duties of Christianity, and she evidenced her firm faith
and confidence of salvation in and through Jesus Christ her Saviour, both in the day of health, and at the hour of her dissolution.
