Yorkshire, to Miss Frances NANSON, of St. Cuthbert's parish.
On the 5th inst. at St. Mary's, James RICHARDSON, to Hannah YOUNG.
At Brampton, on Saturday last, Mr. Adam BELL, to Miss Margaret HETHERINGTON.
At Cross Canonby, on the 1st. inst. Mr. John BEWLEY, to Miss Eleanor HENNEY.-At the same place, on the 6th inst. Mr. John WILKINSON,
mariner, to Miss Ann PALMER: all of Maryport.

said vessel, to Miss Jane GRAYSON, of Cross-street.-Mr. John ALLEN, to Miss Elizabeth SCOTT.
At Workington, Mr. Joseph MUSGRAVE, to Miss Ann GOLIGHTLY.-At the same place, Mr. Patrick HANNAY, to Miss Mary REED.
Mr. Isaac DEWHIRST, cotton-manufacturer, to Miss SHIRES, both of Embasy, near Skipton.
Monday se'ennight, at Deene, near Wansford, Mr. William GIDDINGS, aged 38, to Miss Hannah SPENDILO, aged 16. When the pair first
appeared at the altar, the clergyman asked the young woman whether she was a Christian? Her answer convinced him that she had not
been baptised, and therefore he refused to perform the marriage ceremony. The couple then left the church, but returned shortly
afterwards with godfathers and godmothers, when the intended bride was christened and married.
DEATHS.
Lately, in Carlisle, at an advanced age, Sarah IVISON, widow of Henry IVISON, jun. one of the Society of Friends.
Friday se'nnight, in this city, Mary ARMSTRONG, aged 26.-Mary NANSON, of Briscoe, near this city, aged 58.
Saturday last, at Woodhouse, near Whitehaven, after a very short illness, Mr. Richard WORDSWORTH, attorney-at-law.
In New Lowther-street, Whitehaven, Mr. HOLMES, coast-waiter, in the Custom-house of that port.
At Workington, Mr. John WARD, aged 30.-At the same place, Mrs. Hannah THABAR, aged 88.
Suddenly, at Douglas, in the Isle of Man, Mrs. STOWELL, relict of Mr. Thomas STOWELL, merchant.
At Craigbeck, near Moffat, Mr. Francis MOFFATT, aged 70 years.
At Margerie, parish of Kirkcudbright, on the 1st inst. Mr. John DIXON, farmer.
At Starforth, Yorkshire, John Sharpless LAWSON, M. D. aged 40, much lamented.
