On Thursday last, at St. Cuthbert's, Mr. John Lowry MULLENDER, of Stanwix, to Miss Elizabeth ROBINSON, of this city. 

 

At Penrith, on Monday, William BUTLIN [?], to Margaret ALLIS, both of that place. [According to FamilySearch, their surnames were
BODDEN or BEDDEN and HALLES.]

 

On Wednesday the 25th of September, at Mary-le-bone church, London, by the Rev. R. CHAPMAN, Lieut.-Colonel Sir Hew Dalrymple ROSS,
K. C. B. of the Royal Artillery, to Elizabeth Margaret, the only daughter and heiress of Richard GRAHAM, late of Stonehouse, and
niece to Sir James GRAHAM, Bart. M. P. for this City. 

 

At Trinity church, Whitehaven, by the Rev. T. HARRISON, A. M. Sept. 26, Mr. T. SWINBURN, mariner, to Miss Jane BELL.-Sept. 30, Mr.
D. MUN, mariner, to Miss Elizabeth BOWMAN. 

 

Wednesday, at St. James's, Whitehaven, by the Rev. ARMITSTEAD, A. M. Capt. POTTS, of the New Society, to Miss WILLIAMS, of

At Workington, Mr. Anthony BANKS, stone-mason, to Miss Mary DOBSON.-At the same place, Mr. W. MILLER, to Miss Ruth OUTERSIDE. 

 

A few days ago, at St. Bridget's, Beckermont, Mr. James IRVING, of Yottenfews, to Miss Peggy BRATHWAITE, of Black Beck. [The bride's
surname is BRAITHWAITE in the Cumberland Pacquet.] 

 

Last week, Mr. Thomas FARRER, to Miss Elizabeth CHAMLEY, of Old Hutton, near Kendal.-Also Mr. James CORBETT, to Miss Margaret
BROCKLEBANK.-Mr. Thomas CLEMENT, to Miss Elizabeth ATKINSON.-Mr. John HADWEN, to Miss Sarah MATTHEWS.-Mr. John BATEMAN, to Miss Ann

At Prescot, Thomas FARRER, Esq. third son of James FARRER, Esq. of Lincoln's Inn-Fields, London, to Cecilia, second daughter of
Richard WILLIS, Esq. of Halshead [sic - should be Halsnead]. 

 

At Bath, by the Rev. R. WARNER, G. N. TREMLETT, Esq. of the Royal Navy, to Mary, youngest daughter of the late Robert RADCLYFFE,
Esq. of Foxdenton, Lancashire. 

 

DEATHS. 

 

On Wednesday last, Mr. Robert MARSHALL, of Abbey Street in this city, aged 66 years; much respected. 

 

On Saturday last, in this city, suddenly, aged 70, Ann JOHNSTON.-Sunday last, Mr. Chas. AIANO, aged 56, a native of Italy. 

 

On Saturday last, at Great Orton, John STORDY, sen. aged 80, one of the Society of Friends. 

 

At Swillington, Yorkshire, last week, aged 15, Louisa Susan, youngest daughter of John LOWTHER, Esq. M. P. for this county. 

 

Sunday morning last, Mr. John CROSTHWAITE, bookseller, in the Market-place, Whitehaven, aged 44 years, greatly and deservedly
respected as a tradesman, and deeply lamented by his family and friends. 

 

A few days ago, at Whitehaven, Mrs. Mary FELL, widow, aged 64.-Also Mrs. Mary ROTHERY, aged 38. 

 

Suddenly, at Hensingham, Mr. Robert JOHNSTON. 

 

At Workington, Mrs. Deborah CUMMINS, aged 72.-Elizabeth, wife of Mr. W. GILL, aged 67 years. 

 

At Dumfries, on Sunday last, Mrs. Jean HOUGHAN, relict of the late Mr. James M'CLURE. 

 

On Friday, at his house in Northumberland-place, London, Edward HOWARD, Esq. F. R. S. third son of the late Henry HOWARD, Esq. of
Glossop, in the county of Derby, and brother to his Grace the Duke of Norfolk. 

 

Lately, at Branthwaite, in the parish of Dean, Jane, the eldest daughter of Mr. Isaac HARRISON, of that place, in the 18th year of
her age. 

 

Saturday se'nnight, Mr. Richard WARD, at Fir Bank, near Kendal, advanced in years. 

 

Lately, at Winster, Mr. Thomas COURTS, formerly Surgeon, in Cartmel.  

 

At Yealand, near Lancaster, Mrs. Sarah PARKER, wife of Mr. Charles PARKER, one of the Society of Friends. 

 

Last week, in the house of Mrs. HUGHES, Lower Borough-walls, in the 32nd year of his age, George GERSON, the converted Jew, whom the
Rev. R. WARNER lately baptized. A few days previously to his death, Mr. W. administered to him the blessed Sacrament of the Body and
Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the convert expired full of the conviction of the truth of Christianity, and of peace and hope
from the prospects which it unfolds. It is to be humbly hoped, that this may be only the first fruits of a larger conversion of the
members of Judaism, in this city, to the faith of the crucified Redeemer.-Bath Paper.
