At Whitehaven, Mr. John ADAMSON, to Mrs. Ann M'LEOD.-Mr. Anthony STOREY, to Miss FALCON, of Queen-street.-Mr. Thomas FINNEY to Miss
Eleanor HOPE.
At Moresby, Mr. George STOREY, to Miss BELL, both of Parton.-Same place, Mr. John HASTIE, to Miss Elizabeth BELL, both of Moresby.
At Gosforth, Mr. Edward BROWN, of Calderbridge, to Miss Ann JACKSON, of the former place.
At Wolsingham, on Monday se'nnight, William COLLINSON, sexton of that parish, aged 70, to Miss GIDDLING about 25. The happy pair
were saluted with the ringing of bells and firing of guns the whole of the day; but early the next morning the bride decamped from
her spouse, and has not since been heard of.
On Monday, at Spottes Hall, Captain SKIRVING, E. I. C. S. to Miss MUIRHEAD, daughter of the late Rev. Dr. MUIRHEAD, of Urr.
At Lauder, on the 3d current, Mr. James CURLE, writer, Melrose, to Isabella, daughter of the deceased Robert ROMANES, Esq.
town-clerk of Lauder.
DEATHS.
Last week, in Caldcoats, near this city, at an advanced age, Mr. ROUTLEDGE, cattle-dealer.
Yesterday, in this city, after three days' illness, Miss Jane BULMAN, of Irthington, aged 20.
Tuesday last, suddenly, in the prime of life, Isaac STOCKDALE, of Bishop-lough, Hawkesdale, in the parish of Dalston, much
respected.
At Burgh-by-Sands, on Monday last, William JOHNSON, aged 40 years. After returning from a wedding he laid himself down on the long
settle, and expired in a few moments.
Sunday last, at Wragmire, Mrs. Ann HOLLIDAY, aged 88 years.
On the 24th of May, Isaac, son of the Rev. H. JOHNSTON, of Martindale, aged 17 years,-a very promising youth, educated at Christ's
Hospital, London, and much lamented by his friends and relations.
At Penrith, on Saturday last, Ellinor, daughter of John RUSSEL, glazier, aged 13.
In Queen-street, Whitehaven, Mr. John WILSON, mason, aged 76.
On Monday the 3rd instant, at Kirkbarrow, next Barton, Westmorland, Mr. Thomas MARTINDALE, aged 23 years, after a lingering illness
for a long space of time, which he bore with that manly fortitude which marks the true Christian. He was a young man possessed of
great benevolence of heart, and of the most ardent disposition to relieve distress, and to do his duty towards his God; he lived
respected and died lamented by all who knew how to appreciate his worth.
