The 1st inst. at Gretna-Green, Mr. John LAWSON, of Wigton, saddler, to Miss Dianah GRAVES, of Allonby. 

 

On Saturday last, at Wigton, Mr. William BUTTERY, to Miss Alice M'MURRAY; both of that place. 

 

A few days ago, at Bolton church (by the Rev. Mr. WATTS), Mr. William FELL, to Miss Dianah STOCKDALE; both of Bolton. 

 

Lately, at Whitehaven, Mr. John ROBINSON, to Mrs. Elizabeth RICKARBY. 

 

Same place, Mr. Jonathan HILTON, to Miss Eleanor SMITH. 

 

Same place, Mr. Henry CONNELLY, to Miss Mary M'VAY. 

 

On the 3d inst. at Bewcastle, by the Rev. Mr. GRAHAM, Mr. Joseph ELLIOT, of Craignook, to Elizabeth, eldest daughter of Mr. Leonard
POTTS, Border-rigg. 

 

Same day and place, Mr. Walter HOGG, to Miss Eleanor DAVIDSON. 

 

DIED. 

 

On Wednesday, at Caldew Brow, without the English-gates, Mr. Christopher ATKINSON, aged 90; much respected. 

 

On the 8th inst. Mr. Thomas PARKER, weaver, son of Mr. John PARKER, butcher, in Brampton. 

 

At Brampton, very suddenly, on the 31st ult. much respected, Mrs. BELL, at an advanced age, sister of the late eminent J. ARMSTRONG,
M. D. North Shields. 

 

On the 5th inst. John HOWE, aged 15, servant with Mr. Wm. TAYLOR, Fenton, near Brampton, was unfortunately thrown from his horse,
and only survived a short time after. 

 

At Kirkhouse, on the 29th ult. Maxwell Constable HERON, eldest son of the late Rev. James HERON, minister of Kirkgunzeon. 

 

At Wigton, yesterday week, Mr. Joseph RICHARDSON, aged 92. 

 

Same place and day, Miss Mary PORTER, milliner. 

 

At Penrith, on the 31st ult. Elizabeth, the wife of Mr. Matthew BOWERBANK, aged 33. 

 

At same place, on the 1st inst. Mr. J. ROBINSON, aged 28. 

 

Same place, on the 2d inst. Hannah BOWES, aged 82. 

 

At Broughton, near Cockermouth, a few days ago, Mrs. Hannah MEDCALF, at an advanced age. 

 

The 21st ult. at Crosthwaite, Mr. Joseph WRIGHT, to Miss Hannah BOWE; both of Keswick. 

 

Lately, at Keswick, Ann, wife of Mr. John HARRIS, aged 81; formerly mistress of the George inn there. 

 

Sunday morning, suddenly, Mr. Henry FORSTER, formerly a grocer and cheesemonger in Newcastle. 

 

Lately, at Keighley, in Yorkshire, aged 31, Mr. O. BARNS, son of the late Mr. John BARNS, of Workington. 

 

At Dumfries, yesterday week, Samuel CLARK, Esq. commissary clerk, aged 89. 

 

The 25th ult. at London, Lieut.-Gen. W. JOHNSTONE, late of the 3d regiment of foot guards, and last male heir of the ancient family
of JOHNSTONE, of Corehead, in the county of Dumfries. 

 

Lately, at Sunnybraes, Fifeshire, and interred in Hoddam church-yard, Dumfries-shire, Robert HENDERSON, late of Broomhill, by Annan,
aged 65 years. 

 

At Dumfries, on Thursday last, Mr. Joseph JOHNSTON, cabinet-maker, aged 50; much respected. 

 

At Summerville, parish of Troqueer, Dumfries-shire, on Thursday the 8th inst. Wm. PATTIE, Esq. aged 60.
