Lately, in London, W. P. JOHNSTON, of Walton House, Esq. High Sheriff of this county, to Mary, eldest daughter of Sir George
ARMYTAGE, of Kirklees, in Yorkshire. 

 

On Monday last, at Dalston, Mr. TREMBLE, surgeon, to Miss STUBBS, daughter of Mr. Thomas STUBBS, innkeeper; all of that place. 

 

On the 25th inst. Mr. Joseph CROZIER, blacksmith, to Miss MOFFAT; both of Brampton. 

 

Lately, at Abbey Holm (by the Rev. Mr. JACKSON), Mr. John BAINBRIDGE, to Miss BIRKETT; all of the former place. 

 

On the 1st inst. at Crosscannonby, Mr. Robert MINICAN, mariner, to Miss MERRY, both of Maryport. 

 

Same place, on the 22d inst. Mr. John DAND, of Harrington, mariner, to Miss Mary Nancy HINDE, of Maryport. 

 

The 19th inst. at Whitehaven, Mr. John WHITESIDE, of his Majesty's cutter Defence, to Miss Frances SIMPSON. 

 

At Montrose, on the 15th inst. Charles Hutchinson PHILLIPS, Esq. of Milk Spring, in the island of Jamaica, and of Somerville, in the
county of Dumfries, to Jane, youngest daughter of the late Adam GLEGG, Esq. Provost of Montrose. 

 

DIED. 

 

The 18th inst. at Penrith, Mr. John WRIGHT, aged 75. 

 

At Crosby, parish of Crosscannonby, on the 15th inst. Mr. James MEGGOT, aged 90. 

 

At Workington, on Sunday last, Mrs. SCOTT, in the prime of life. 

 

Same place, on Monday, Capt. Wm. THOMPSON. 

 

A few days ago, at Maryport, Hannah, the wife of Mr. Joseph ASHLEY, master mariner, of Liverpool, aged 32. 

 

Lately in Whitehaven, Mr. Thomas PEARSON, shoemaker, aged 77. 

 

Wednesday se'nnight, in same place, aged 25, Mrs. AILCOCK, wife of Mr. John AILCOCK. 

 

Yesterday week, in same place, aged 90, Jonah SMITH, many years sheriff's bailiff. 

 

Same day and place, Mr. James HARRISON, joiner and cabinet-maker. 

 

The 15th inst. at Pardshaw-Hall, parish of Dean, aged 62, Mrs. Ann STEEL, widow. 

 

Tuesday se'nnight, at Cockon, in Lamplugh, aged 64, Mrs. Jane DICKINSON, widow. 

 

The 13th inst. at Ullock, parish of Dean, Mr. John WALKER, one of the people called Friends. 

 

Thursday se'nnight, in Kendal, Mrs. CORBET, aged 37. 

 

Same day and place, Mr. GIBSON, hosier, aged 45. 

 

At Captaintown, parish of Irongray, Dumfries-shire, on Saturday last, Mr. James LINDSAY, farmer, aged 72. 

 

SUDDEN DEATHS. 

 

On Sunday morning, in this city, John CARRUTHERS, son of Thos. CARRUTHERS, at Topping Hall, in this county. This young man had
attended the cock pit the preceding day, in apparent health. Whilst there he was suddenly seized with an indisposition which
deprived him of life in a few hours! 

 

The 10th inst. at Pardshaw, Mr. GIBSON, blacksmith. He suddenly dropped down dead whilst conversing with some of his acquaintance at
a foot-race near that place. 

 

Very suddenly, at Workington, on Wednesday week, Betsey, wife of Mr. Thomas TOWERS. 

 

Tuesday se'nnight, in Whitehaven, suddenly, Mr. John REED, shoemaker, aged 40. 

 

In Lincoln, on the 13th, in a fit, Sir John INGILBY, of Ripley Park, Yorkshire. 

 

Thursday week, aged 93, Mrs. HUCKELBRIDGE, Bath.-That morning she was visited by Mrs. REEVES, of that city, who suddenly fell, and
died in half an hour afterwards. In the evening, nearly at the same hour, and soon after the body had been removed, Mrs.
HUCKELBRIDGE went into the same room, laid down on the bed, and expired.
