Monday last, at Penrith, Mr. James KIRKPATRICK, to Miss Jane WATKIN. 

 

The 8th inst. at Drigg, Mr. John THOMPSON, of Thornflatt, to Miss Esther HODSKINS, of Camblands. 

 

Saturday last, at same place, Mr. John GAITSKILL, of Hall Santon, to Miss THOMPSON, of Drigg. 

 

The 10th, at Irton, Mr. Daniel LONG, of Netherwasdale, aged 78, to Sarah CLEATOR, of the former place, aged 47. 

 

At Crosscannonby, on the 17th inst. Mr. Joseph WILLIAMSON, cordwainer, Ellenborough, to Miss Elizabeth JEFFERSON, of Maryport. 

 

Same place and time, Mr. Richard MURPHY, carpenter, to Miss Amelia WISE; both of Maryport. 

 

At Culraven, parish of Borgue, Dumfries-shire, on the 13th inst. Mr. Wm. BROWN, farmer, Borland of Anwath, to Miss Grace GORDON,
daughter of the late Mr. Thomas GORDON, of Culraven. 

 

DIED. 

 

On the 14th inst. in Annetwell-street, after a long and painful illness, which she bore with Christian patience, Elizabeth TAUNTON,
many years a faithful servant to Mrs. Horton BRISCO. 

 

On Tuesday, at Caldcoats, Mrs. GLASSBY, in the prime of life. 

 

Saturday last, in English-street, Mr. Wm. GILCHRIST, aged 67,-a worthy character. 

 

On Sunday, in Caldewgate, Mrs. Mary CANE, aged 56. 

 

On Monday, at Cummersdale, G. T. WATSON, youngest son of Mr. John WATSON, of that place. 

 

On Thursday week, at Penrith, Mrs. Rachael BAILEY, aged 69. 

 

At Penrith, on Saturday last, Mrs. TOWERS, aged 84. 

 

Lately, at Keswick, aged 63, Mr. Benjamin SEALBY, grocer and ironmonger. 

 

Wednesday se'nnight, in Whitehaven, aged 50, Sarah, wife of Mr. Abraham THOMPSON. 

 

At Maryport, on Saturday last, Mrs. Alice HINDE, widow, aged 61. 

 

On Monday, awfully suddenly, aged 29, Mr. W. WOODHOUSE, of the Grapes inn, Manchester. 

 

Monday last, Mr. James KNIGHT, an eminent solicitor in Manchester. 

 

At Dumfries, on the 12th inst. Mrs. Janet JOHNSTON, wife of Mr. John HAYLAND, copper-smith. 

 

Same place, on the 15th, Mrs. Elizabeth CLARK. 

 

Same place, on the 17th, Mr. Samuel HINCHCLIFFE, painter. 

 

Same place, on the 18th, Miss Nicholas GLENDINING, daughter of Mr. Thomas GLENDINING, cloth-merchant. 

 

The 6th inst. at Millhouses, parish of Wamphray, Dumfries-shire, Mrs. Elizabeth MOUNSEY, relict of Wm. GRIEVE, Esq. late a commander
in the royal navy; aged 61. 

 

At St. Lucia, on the 10th Feb. John MUTER, Esq. son of the Rev. Dr. MUTER, minister of Kirkcudbright. 

 

A few days ago, Mr. Wm. FOWLE, of Boxley. His remains, according to his will, were interred under a windmill upon his estate; and
the following epitaph (the deceased's own composition) is to be placed on his tomb:- 

                   "Underneath this little mill 

                   "Lies the body of poor Will. 

                   "Odd he liv'd, and odd he died; 

                   "And at his burial no one cried."
