On Tuesday last, at Springfield, Mr. John ARMSTRONG, son of Mr. John ARMSTRONG, of this city, to Miss Ann JORDAN, only daughter of
the late Joseph JORDAN, Esq. of Duncow Fold. 

 

On Wednesday last, at St. Cuthbert's, Mr. Robert LAW, to Miss D. WRIGHT, both of this city. 

 

At Great Orton, on the 4th inst. Mr. Wm. BROWN, to Miss Jane LOWTHER; both of that place. 

 

On Saturday last, at Hesket, Mr. John BECKTON, of Highwooloaks, to Miss Jane WATSON, of Skeugh-dyke, near Hesket. 

 

On Thursday week, at Crosscannonby (by the Rev. Mr. DONALD), Captain Joseph HARRISON, of the brig Peggy, of Maryport, to Mrs. K.
FARLEY, of the same place. 

 

Thursday last, at same place, Mr. Thos. BRAITHWAITE, Captain of the Cyclops, of Maryport, to Miss Jane TUNSTALL, of the same place. 

 

The 21st ult. at Witton Gilbert, John WOOD, Esq. to Miss CROFTON, both of Kiblesworth [sic – Kimblesworth according to the Durham
County Advertiser], near Durham. 

 

Wednesday se'nnight, Mr. Moses LEMON, surgeon, to Miss Maria SOLOMON, daughter of Dr. SOLOMON, Gilead  House, Liverpool. 

 

Lately, W. C. WILSON, eldest son of W. W. C. WILSON, Esq. of Casterton Hall, Kirkby Lonsdale, to Ann, eldest daughter of
Major-General NEVILLE, London. [According to the parish register of St. James, Piccadilly, Westminster, the Rev. William Carus
WILSON, Clerk of Trinity College Cambridge, & Anne NEVILLE of this parish, were married there on 01 Jan 1815.]

 

The 30th ult. at Baltersan, Mr. James M'LAURIN, brewer, Newton-Stewart, to Jane, second daughter of the late Mr. Samuel M'KEAN,
farmer there. 

 

At Balhasie, near Creetown, on Thursday the 2d inst. Mr. James M'WHAN, Gatehouse, to Miss Agnes K'KEAN [sic], Balhasie. 

 

At Dumfries, on Monday, Mr. Peter M'NAUGHT, coppersmith, to Miss Jane HAYLAND, daughter of Mr. Wm. HAYLAND, coppersmith there. 

 

Lately, at Great Hale, Mr. Stephen PAULING, of Little Hale, to Mrs. MASON, of Bellingborough. The bridegroom has upwards of 50
children. 

 

Wednesday the 1st inst. at N. Shields, J. GUNN, of Percy Main, aged 67, to Mary MONCASTER, of the same place, aged 64. This loving
couple have only one tooth between them. 

 

DIED. 

 

Sunday last, Mr. John LAWSON, of Cargo Hill, aged 28, son of Mr. Thos. LAWSON, of Wetheral; much regretted by a large circle of
acquaintance. 

 

A few days ago, at Robison-House, near Cawthwaite, Mrs. F. HEWIT (late of Carlisle), at the advanced age of 84 years. 

 

On the 3d inst. at Mirk Booths in the parish of Castlesowerby, John, the son of Mr. Joseph JEFFERSON; aged 18. 

 

On Monday last, in Maryport, aged 70, after a short illness, Mrs. NEWTON, mother-in-law to Mr. HARRISON, bookbinder and stationer,
Maryport. 

 

In Whitehaven, on Thursday se'nnight, aged 29, Mrs. Ann LITTLE. 

 

Same place and day, aged 77, Sarah, wife of Mr. Edward CHESTERS, and sister to the late Mrs. WALKER, many years at the Black Lion
inn. 

 

Same place, on Monday, Miss HODGSON, daughter of the late Mr. F. HODGSON, saddler. 

 

Lately, at Woolwich, Mr. Wm. LEWTHWAITE, 3d son of the late Rev. Solomon LEWTHWAITE, of Hutton, near Penrith. 

 

The 1st inst. aged 24, Mr. James ROBERTSON, brother to Mr. ROBERTSON, of Newcastle, goldsmith. 

 

The 28th ult. Mr. R. MORLEY, of Hexham, innkeeper. 

 

Saturday last, aged 51, John FERRIAR, M. D. one of the physicians of the Manchester Infirmary. 

 

At Dumfries, on Monday last, Mrs. LAURIE, wife of Mr. Charles YOUNG, wright. 

 

On the 22d ult. at Bathwick, in great poverty, Mr. Richard JOHANNOT; an eminent comic Circus singer, whose gains at one period of
his life were little short of £1500 a year.
