On the 26th ult. at Springfield, in the parish of Gretna, Lieutenant-Colonel Charles THOMAS, of the first regiment of foot guards,
to Sarah Garray, only daughter of Charles BRUNSDEN, Esq. of London. 

 

On the 22d ult. at Annan, Mr. Anthony ROBINSON, farmer, to Miss Sarah BRUGH; both of Bowness. 

 

Saturday last, at St. Bees, Mr. John ROBINSON, to Mrs. Eleanor HARRISON; both of Whitehaven. 

 

Sunday se'nnight, in Kendal, Mr. Thos. KIDD, grocer, to Miss Mary BLAND. 

 

Monday se'nnight, in same place, Mr. Richard EUBANK, saddler, to Miss E. T. BUTLER.

Thursday se'nnight, in London, Major-General Sir William ANSON, K. C. B. brother of Viscount ANSON, to Louisa Frances Mary, daughter
and only child of John DICKENSON, of Birch Hall, near Manchester. 

 

Thursday se'nnight, at Gateshead, Mr. W. ROBSON, grocer at Newcastle, to Miss SINCLAIR, of the Windmill Hills. 

 

The 26th ult. Mr. Richard WINGATE, brush-manufacturer, to Miss Elizabeth WILSON; both of Newcastle. 

 

Same day, at Hexham, Mr. Perceval HALL, of the Berks, to Mary, daughter of Mr. Robert ERRINGTON, of Dipton-mill. 

 

DIED. 

 

On the 1st inst. Mary, the wife of Mr. Thos. GRAHAM, barrack-serjeant, at Carlisle Castle, aged 51, after a long and tedious illness
of near four years, which she bore with truly Christian fortitude. 

 

Same day, in Rickergate, John MAGNAY, aged 18 years, son of the late Mr. M. MAGNAY, Snittlegarth. 

 

On Saturday last, at Dalston, after a lingering illness, Ann, the wife of Mr. Wm. TODHUNTER, much lamented by a large circle of
friends and acquaintance; aged 33. 

 

On Monday last, at Soulby, near Penrith, Mrs. Ann STOKELL, aged 28 years, daughter of the late Capt. BAXTER of the 56th regiment of
foot. 

 

Thursday se'nnight in Whitehaven, aged 51, Joseph DIXON, Esq. a Major in the Whitehaven Local Militia. 

 

On Monday last, John ARMSTRONG, M. D. of North Shields. A gentleman deservedly admired for the extent and variety of his medical
knowledge and skill in the operating of surgery. [According to other newspapers, he was interred in the family vault in Brampton,
Cumberland.] 

 

Tuesday se'nnight, at same place [in Whitehaven, according to the Cumberland Pacquet], aged 67, Mrs. DUNN, wife of Mr. DUNN, of the
Custom-house. 

 

Thursday se'nnight, same place [also in Whitehaven, according to the Cumberland Pacquet], aged 47, Mr. Samuel BROWNRIGG,
house-carpenter. 

 

Yesterday week, at Appleby, Mrs. YAN, at the advanced age of 92 years. [According to the Westmorland Advertiser, she was called Mrs.
YARE and died on Friday 20th January.] 

 

On the 17th of Sept. last, in the 19th year of his age, on board the Maidstone, off New London, America, of a putrid sore throat,
John Nelson TINKLAR, midshipman, son of the Rev. T. D. TINKLAR, of Much-Wenlock, Salop; an excellent young man, of great promise. 

 

Thursday se'nnight, at Newcastle, Rear-Admiral CHARLTON. 

 

Monday, at same place, advanced in years, Mr. Edward FOSTER. 

 

On Wednesday last, at Dumfries, Mrs. WILSON, widow of the late Mr. Robert WILSON, gardener. Her death was awfully sudden: she had
supped along with her family, in apparent health, and was a corpse a few minutes afterwards. 

 

The 21st ult. Miss Mary WILSON, daughter of the deceased Ebenezer WILSON, bookseller, in Dumfries. 

 

Sunday last, at Hutton Hall, Carlaverock, Mr. Robert GILCHRIST, schoolmaster. 

 

The 25th ult. at Maxwell-town, Gallaway-shire, Mrs. Margaret NISBET, relict of the late Mr. Alex. ORR, flesher there. 

 

At Moffat, on the 25th ult. aged 79, James JOHNSTON, Esq. late of Selcoth. 

 

Lately, aged 114, Mrs. JOHNSTON, of Bedminster.
