At the late York Assizes (CLEMENT v. LAWSON), a verdict for the plaintiff, in the amount of £1800, was found against

refused to allow the property-tax. Two objections were taken, which are to be referred to the Court of King's Bench.—At these
Assizes, a woman obtained damages to the amount of £450, besides costs, from the proprietors of the Trafalgar coach, for the
breaking down and overturning of that coach at Burton, on the 11th day of October last, whereby the plaintiff, Mrs. NEWLOVE, had one
of her legs so dreadfully shattered, as to require amputation, and the cause of action assigned by the plaintiff was the breaking of
the axle, in consequence of a previous defect therein.
