On the 25th, M. [sic - should be Mr.] John FOSTER, to Miss Alice MARTIN, in this city. 

 

The 22d ult. at Lewisham in Sussex [sic - should be Kent], the Rev. T. PICKTHALL, of Waltham Abbey, late of this county, to Sophia
Mary, second daughter of the late John RIEVES, Esq. of London, banker. 

 

Lately, at Arcledon [sic - should be Arlecdon], Mr. John THOMPSON, to Miss Ann KENDAL, daughter of Mr. Benjamin KENDAL, of Leys, in
Lamplugh. 

 

DIED. 

 

On the 23d instant, after a long and afflicting illness, which he bore with Christain [sic] fortitude, Mr. Christopher WOODLL [sic],
in this city, at an advanced age. 

 

On the 22d inst. at his father's house at Netherton, near this city, in the prime of life, Mr. Richard SOWERBY, partner in the House
of Messrs. John ROBERTSON and Co. glass-manufacturers, Newcastle on Tyne. 

 

The 14th, at Ireby in this county, aged 72, Mrs. Ann SANDERSON, relict of the late Richard SANDERSON, Esq. 

 

A few days ago, at Maryport, Mr. John BURTON, shoemaker, aged 77. 

 

Yesterday week, at Darwent Hill, near Keswick, (suddenly) Mrs. SLACK, in her 37th year, wife of Wm. SLACK, Esq.; universally
respected by all who had the pleasure of her acquaintance. 

 

The 14th, at Scalesmoor, Cumberland, very suddenly, Mr. Wm. SAUL, aged 50. 

 

Wednesday se'nnight, at Beckermont, Mr. John NICHOLSON, of Egremont, butcher, aged 29. 

 

Thursday se'nnight, in Whitehaven, Captain DAVIS, of the ship Nymph, aged 26. 

 

Suddenly, on Wednesday se'nnight, at the New Houses, Whitehaven, Margaret, the wife of Mr. Joseph SANDILAND. 

 

The 18th inst. suddenly, Mr. Richard WOODALL, of Waberthwaite, near Bootle. 

 

Wednesday se'nnight, at Barron House, near Keswick, Mr. John BOULTON, aged 67 years. 

 

Lately, Mr. John YEOWARD, tide waiter at Liverpool, a native of Plumbland in this county. His death was occasioned by falling into
one of the docks. 

 

At Turthorald, N. B. Mrs. Janet SWAN, aged 50.
