Saturday se'nnight, at Kendal, Mr. Peter WRIGHT, to Miss LINE, daughter of Mr. John LINE, mercer and tailor. 

 

DIED. 

 

Yesterday week, Mrs. Jane PATTISON, widow of the late Rev. Joseph PATTISON, vicar of Thursby, aged 49 years. 

 

Yesterday morning, in Swifts Row, Rickergate, aged 62 years, Mr. Charles ROBERT. 

 

Yesterday morning, in Rickergate, Mr. Sylvester SILL, hair-dresser, aged 41. 

 

At Castletown of Rockliff, near this city, yesterday week, Mrs. Mary MAXWELL, widow, aged 73. 

 

At Wigton, on the 5th inst. aged 60, Mr. Joseph IRVIN, one of the Society of Friends, and a partner of the printfield there; much
respected through life. 

 

At Wigton, on Monday the 2d inst. the Rev. Samuel HALLIFAX, for upwards of half a centuary [sic] head master of the free grammar
shool [sic] there, and curate of Westward; whose classical learning was of the first order, and many of his pupils, now in distant
parts of the British Empire, will long remember his eloquent and impressive declamations from antient authors. 

 

The 2d inst. at Kirkland, near Wigton, Miss Mary JOHNSTON, aged 31. 

 

On Wednesday the 4th inst. aged 61, Mr. Robert JEFFERSON, of Woodside, near Wigton. 

 

At Maryport, on Monday last, Mrs. Margaret PENNY, relict of the late Mr. PENNY, anchor-smith, at an advanced age. 

 

The 6th inst. at Penrith, Mr. Robert LOUGH, aged 47, formerly a watch-maker. 

 

Same place, the 5th inst. Mrs. Eliz. APPLEBY, aged 28. 

 

On Sunday last, at Lothwaite, in this county, Mr. Joseph FAWCETT, second son of the late Mr. Joseph FAWCETT, of that place. 

 

Saturday last, at Cockermouth, Mr. Wm. SEWELL, formerly a carrier between that place and Whitehaven. 

 

Wednesday se'nnight, at the Castle, Whitehaven, Mr. HAW, aged 61, land steward to the Earl of Londsdale [sic]. 

 

Wednesday se'nnight, at Whitehaven, Capt. W. DAVIS, to Miss SHEPHERD. 

 

Tuesday se'nnight, at Kendal, Mr. James SAVAGE, grocer and cheesemonger, aged 62. 

 

Lately, in Cartmell, aged 20, Mrs. TEASDALE, relict of the late Mr. John TEASDALE, spirit-merchant in Kendal. 

 

At Gatehouse of Fleet, Gallowayshire, yesterday week, Mrs. MURDOCH, wife Mr. Wm. MURDOCH, leather-cutter there. 

 

At Bath, on Tuesday se'nnight, Admiral Alexander HOOD (Lord Viscount Bridport), aged 87. 

 

Lately, at Thirsk, Mrs. Alice HALTON, aged 105.
