At St. Mary's, on Thursday, Mr. John JACKSON, of the parish of Stanwix, to Miss Mary ROBSON, of the former place. 

 

At Gretna Green, on the 16th ult. H. W. AUBREY, Esq. son of W. W. AUBREY, Esq. Bath, to Barbara, youngest daughter of the late P.
BROWN, Esq. Edinburgh. 

 

At Whitehaven, on Wednesday se'nnight, Mr. William BLAND, to Miss NICHOLSON. 

 

Same place, on Sunday, Mr. Robert AGNEW, ship-carpenter, to Miss COLT. 

 

Saturday, Mr. Edward RIDDLE, of Whitburn, mathematician, to Miss WALLACE, of Newcastle. 

 

DIED. 

 

Suddenly, of an apoplectic fit, with which he was seized while walking in the Swifts, near this city, on Wednesday evening, Mr.
George CARTNER, a respectable yeoman, late of Crofton Place; aged 69. 

 

On Friday week, at Florestown, parish of Rockliff, Mr. William RIGG, aged 73. Amongst his followers to the grave were 7 of his sons
and 4 daughters; and what is still more remarkable, he was never from his own house 13 months. 

 

On Wednesday se'nnight, Mrs. Margaret WILSON, of Newby Cross, aged 76. 

 

At Penrith, on Tuesday se'nnight, aged 50, Mr. Robert BURREY, marble-cutter. 

 

Same place, on Saturday last, Mr. Anthony SANDERSON, aged 49. 

 

On Friday se'nnight, at same place, Jane, wife of Mr. Joseph STEWART, aged 35. 

 

Tuesday se'nnight, at Cockermouth, Mrs. Mary PENNY, aged 71; sister to Mr. John PENNY, of Gilcrux, agent to Joseph Dykes Ballantine
DYKES, Esq. of Dovenby Hall. 

 

On the 1st inst. at Preston-Hall, aged 86, Agnes WATTON, who had been nearly 70 years servant (principally as cook) in the family of
Mrs. GRAHAM, of Blackwood. 

 

Monday, at Arbigland, of an apoplectic stroke, Mrs. BABINGTON, wife of the Rev. Dr. BABINGTON, Episcopal minister in Dumfries. 

 

At Dumfries, on the 20th ult. Miss Lillias M'CORNOCK, aged 86, sister of the late Mr. Hugh M'CORNOCK of Clouchrie, many years chief
clerk of the customs at Dumfries. 

 

At Sorn, on the 11th ult. Mr. James M'GAVIN, farmer in Thripwood, Galston. He had incautiously chewed a leaf of the wolfsbane or
monkshood plant, and, about an hour thereafter, was seized with nausea and vomiting, and in a short time expired. 

 

At Clundort, on the 12th ult. of the wound he received at Bergen-op-Zoom, Mr. Walter MARSHAL, 55th regiment, son of the late Mr. R.
MARSHALL, surgeon in Peebles. 

 

Saturday last, at his daughter's house, Islington, in the 80th year of his age, the Rev. Timothy PRIESTLEY, brother of the late
celebrated Dr. PRIESTLEY. 

 

The 28th ult. Mr. Henry BROWN, butcher, Newcastle, aged 25. 

 

Lately, at Manchester, aged 50, Mr. POLITO, the well-known proprietor of the menageries. 

 

At Glasnakilly [should be Glasnakille], Isle of Sky, on the 8th March, Mary INNES, formerly servant in the family of Glasnakilly, at
the very advanced age of 127 years. She lived to see the sixth generation, and retained the use of her faculties to the last.
