At Wigton, on Saturday last, Mr. Wm. MANDLE, of Lessenhall, to Miss Sarah ATKINSON, of Moorhouse. 

 

On the 25th inst. Mr. Thomas ROBINSON, to Miss Mary NIXON; both of Penrith. 

 

Monday last, at Cross-Cannonby, the Rev. Charles KITCHEN, Baptist minister, to Miss Sarah PENNY; both of Maryport. 

 

Monday se'nnight, in Kendal, Mr. James TODD, butcher, to Mrs. CHAPMAN, of the Angel inn. 

 

Wednesday se'nnight, Mr. Wm. GRAY, of Newcastle, grocer, to Miss Ann WATSON, of Alston. 

 

The 11th inst. at Sedbergh, the Rev. J. FAWCETT, curate of Dufton, Westmorland, to Miss ATKINSON, of Howgill, near Sedbergh. 

 

At Barnaight, on the 18th inst. Mr. Samuel HANNAY, surgeon, Newtonstewart, to Miss Helen MAIN, eldest daughter of John MAIN, Esq. of
Barnaight. 

 

Monday, at Isle of Nith, Dumfries-shire, the Rev. John CROCKET, minister of Kirkgunzeon, to Margaret, eldest daughter of James
GOLDIE, Esq. 

 

At Lochmaben, on Monday, Mr. John HETHERTON, merchant, to Miss Margaret LINDSAY. 

 

DIED. 

 

Saturday last, at his seat at Nether-hall, in this county, Humphrey SENHOUSE, Esq. aged 83. 

 

On the 23d inst. at Penrith, Mrs. Mary LEECE, aged 30 years. 

 

On Monday last, at Penrith, much respected, Mr. Wm. VARTY, aged 71. He had been taking his usual exercise in a part of his property,
near the town, when he suddenly dropped down and expired. 

 

On Sunday evening the 24th inst. at his house in Cockermouth, Lawson Dykes BALLANTINE, Esq. of Crookdake Hall, in the 75th year of
his age; a Deputy Lieutenant and Magistrate for this county. 

 

The 6th inst. at Branthwaite, near Whitehaven, in the 89th year of her age, Jane, the wife of Mr. Thos. DIXON, formerly of Lamplugh
Hall. They had been married 65 years, and the survivor is now in his 99th year. 

 

On Tuesday last, at Longrigg Hall, Mrs. BARWISE, aged 103. 

 

Same day, at Aspatria, Mr. Wm. RAWLINS, innkeeper. 

 

At Dumfries, yesterday week, James GRACIE, Esq. late banker there. 

 

Lately, in Bathwick poor-house, aged 110, Mary LAMB.
