Same day and place, Mr. William ROME, to Miss Sarah KING. 

 

Wednesday last, at same place, Mr. Richard TAYLOR, to Miss Mary NICHOLSON. 

 

On the 30th ult. at Penrith, Mr. Edward MOUNCEY, to Miss WATKINS, daughter of Mr. Christ. WATKINS, innkeeper. 

 

At the same time and place, Mr. Wm. JACKSON, to Miss Anna BIRD. 

 

Monday last, at Flimby, Mr. Walter IRVING, of Moorside, to Miss Jane SHARP, of Woodside, near Flimby. 

 

Thursday se'nnight, at Whitehaven, Mr. WHITE, shipwright, to Miss WESTRAY. 

 

Saturday last, at Moresby, Mr. Thomas FEARON, of Whitehaven, hatter, to Miss Elizabeth HALL, of the former place. 

 

A few days ago, at Belfast, Mr. Wilson HEWTSON, captain of the brig Good Intent, of Maryport, to Miss Mary M'KANE, of Kirkcubbin,
county of Down, Ireland. 

 

Lately, James ORDE, Lieutenant-Colonel of his Majesty's 99th regiment, to Margaret, eldest daughter of William BECKFORD, Esq. of
Fonthill, and sister of the Marchioness of Douglas and Clydesdale. 

 

On the 10th December last, at Calcutta, Charles TROWER, Esq.; a gentleman high in the civil service of the India Company, to Miss
Amelia Catherine ERSKINE, daughter of Mr. John ERSKINE, of York. 

 

DIED. 

 

On Sunday last, at the Rev. S. R. HARTLEY's house, in the Abbey, Miss Mary FLEMING, aged 21. 

 

Thursday last, in this city in consequence of a fall from a ladder, when on permanent duty at Carlisle, as a Local Militia-man,
Thomas GOODFELLOW, of Greensike near Gilsland, aged 22. 

 

The 26th ult. Miss Jane GRAHAM, of Botchergate, aged 60 years. 

 

Wednesday last, at the Lord Chief Baron's house, in Edinburgh, Lord Melville, aged 70. 

 

On Sunday last, at Standingstone, Mr. Ewan CLARKE, brother to the late Rev. Wilfred CLARKE, vicar of Wigton; aged 73. He was a poet
of some celebrity. 

 

At Penrith, the 25th ult. Deborah WILKINSON, aged 88, widow of Mr. John WILKINSON, Clifton, Westmorland. 

 

Friday se'nnight, at Maryport, Mr. Ayley BROWN, aged 67. 

 

Monday last, at Maryport, Jane, the wife of Mr. Daniel BELL, carpenter, at an advanced age. 

 

Wednesday, at Maryport, at an advanced age, Mr. James CLARKE, many years employed as a boatswain rigger.
