DIED. 

 

Yesterday week, in Botchergate, Mr. David DUCKETT, jun. aged 37. 

 

Sunday last, Mr. John IRVING, of Botchergate, aged 63. 

 

On Monday, Mrs. Elizabeth WELSH, of the same place, aged 62. 

 

Thursday, Mrs. Jane ATKINSON, of Damside, Botchergate, aged 44. 

 

On Friday, the 18th inst. at Kirkandrews-upon-Eden, Mr. Robert ROBSON, aged 94. He and two of his sisters, [who die]d a few years
ago, one at the age of 88, and the [other 86, ]were all born and died in the same house, and [were all un]married. He had also
another sister, a widow, [who died at] the age of 88-and his father lived to the ex[traordinary] age of 10[7]. 

 

[Same da]y and place, Sibilla, wife of Mr. J. CARTNER, [innkeeper,] aged 89. 

 

[Sunday 20th] inst. at Penrith, Jane, the wife of Mr. Isaac [WILKINSON,] innkeeper, aged 76. 

 

[Same pla]ce, the 22d inst. Mr. Wm. BOAK, aged 91. 

 

[On Sun]day, the 20th instant at Silloth, Holm Cultram, [Mary WILLIS], aged 24, of a lingering illness, which she [bore with
C]hristian fortitude; and much respected by all her [acquain]tance. 

 

[Tuesday l]ast, at Wigton, Mr. Hugh M'GARRY, in the prime of life. 

 

[            at] Bootle, Mr. John SMITH, son of the Rev. Mr. [SMITH, recto]r of Bootle; aged 23. [According the Cumberland Pacquet,
he died suddenly at Bootle on Monday 14th in his 23d year, and was son of the late Rev. Mr. SMITH, rector of Bootle.] 

 

[At Cliburn], on the 14th inst. Mr. Christopher BIRD, late [of              ] Westmorland, aged 88; much respected. [According the
Cumberland Pacquet, he died Monday the 14th inst. at the Rectory House, Cliburn, Westmorland, in his 89th year, and was of Birdby,
in the parish of Morland.] 

 

[Sunday se']nnight, Mr. Wm. MASKEW, late of Natland, [and formerly] of the Commercial inn, Kendal, aged 71. 

 

[On the 13th] inst. in York, G. C. WEDEMEYER, the Hano[verian vetera]n, who served his late Majesty, George II. [and his presen]t
Majesty, George III. against the French in the war 1735 [sic - should be 1755] to 1763, under the Field Marshals SPORKEN, LUCKNER,
Granby, and Prince Ferdinand. 

 

On the 14th inst. in same place, the Right Hon. the Lady Mayoress. She was the only daughter of the late Francis SAUNDERS, Esq. one
of the Aldermen of that city. 

 

At Gotterby, parish of Lochmaben, Dumfries-shire, Mr. Alexander HARKNESS, farmer, aged 51. 

 

At Stranraer, on the 12th inst. aged 27, Alex. M'BRIDE, Esq. writer. 

 

At Dumfries, on the 16th inst. Helen MOUNCEY, relict of the late Mr. Charles HANNAH, innkeeper, aged 76. 

 

At Torthorwald, Dumfries-shire, on Monday last, aged 67, Mr. John HAMILTON, farmer.
