At Wigton, lately, Mr. Jos. JEFFERSON, late of Woodside, carpenter, advanced in years. 

 

Same place, on Thursday, Mr. BARNES, late of Woodrow; in the prime of life. 

 

Same place, yesterday se'nnight, deservedly respected by all who knew her, Mrs. MONKHOUSE, relict of the late William MONKHOUSE,
Esq. Penrith; after a long and painful illness, which she bore with patience and resignation; her real worth will leave a lasting
impression on her relatives and friends. 

 

Very suddenly, at Penrith, on Wednesday, Mrs. Sarah TINDALL, at an advanced age. She was in the act of drawing a goose, when she
fell back and expired. 

 

Very suddenly, on same day, Mary BIRBECK, at the house of the Rev. Mr. PEARSON, in Penrith. 

 

The 30th ult. at Aspatria, after a long illness, Thomas, the youngest son of Jonathan BOUCH, of that place, in the prime of life. 

 

Yesterday week, Betty HARDY, aged 19, servant to Mr. John CURRAH, of Crosscannonby. Her death was awfully sudden: she leaned against
the chimney, and on her mistress enquiring if she was unwell, and going to support her, she expired in her arms. 

 

At Maryport, on Wednesday last, Mr. John FEARON, in his 85th year; he retained all his faculties to the last. He had been 23 years
clerk of the parish church of Gilcrux, and 19 years of Maryport; and might be deemed one of the best readers and singers of his age
in the north of England. He has left a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

 

Saturday last, in Whitehaven, aged 58, Mrs. PONSONBY, relict of the late Miles PONSONBY, Esq. of Hail Hall. 

 

Tuesday se'nnight, at same place, aged 52, Mrs. Ann ROBINSON, innkeeper. 

 

Sunday se'nnight, whilst walking from Penkhull to his house, Hart's Hill Cor, near Newcastle, Staffordshire, supposed to be in a
fit, the Rev. William FERNEYHOUGH, vicar of Aspatria, Cumberland. 

 

Same day, at Newcastle, Mr. Wm. MIDDLETON, aged 101. 

 

The 12th inst. in Newcastle, Mr. George WOOD, aged 75 years. 

 

Yesterday week, at Shields, Mr. James MILBURN, innkeeper. He went to bed at 11 o'clock in apparent good health, and was found a
corpse at 12. 

 

Yesterday week, in Gateshead (Durham), aged 25, Miss Margaret HARRISON. 

 

On Monday se'nnight, the Rev. Matthew MURFITT, A. M. vicar of Kendal. 

 

Wednesday se'nnight, aged 43, the wife of Mr. TODD, the printer of the Sheffield Mercury. 

 

At Dumfries, on the 8th inst. Elizabeth, spouse to the Rev. William INGLIS. 

 

At Terregles manse, on same day, the Rev. Theodore Edgar KEYDEN, minister of the gospel in that parish. 

 

Wednesday se'nnight, in London, Captain Andrew SIGNEY, of the Hawk Packet London trader belonging to Newcastle. He dropped down dead
in the street.
