Tuesday se'nnight, at Whitehaven, Mr. Wm. PIPER, to Miss Mac BRIDE. 

 

The 8th inst. at Preston Patrick, Westmorland, Mr. Samuel KAY, of Manchester, attorney-at-law, to Miss BURROWS, of Warthsudden, in
the former county. 

 

DIED. 

 

Monday last, at her house in Finkle-street, Mrs. Eleanor ARMSTRONG, widow of the late Mr. Reginald ARMSTRONG, and mother-in-law of
Mr. MITCHELL, printer, Newcastle. 

 

On Thursday last, after a short and severe indisposition, Mr. Thomas FORSTER, second son of Mr. FORSTER, grocer in Brampton, aged
17; a very promising youth, who was universally beloved and esteemed by all who had the pleasure of his acquaintance. 

 

Yesterday week, at Wreay, Mrs. LONGRIGG, widow; advanced in years. 

 

Lately, at Hetherside, Kirklinton, Mrs. Sybilla GRAHAM, widow, after a short illness. 

 

A few days since, in the parish of Kirklinton, Mary, daughter of Mr. John KELLY, weaver. 

 

Wednesday se'nnight, at his house near Penrith, much respected, Mr. Michael REMINGTON, aged 66; one of the Society of Friends. 

 

Sunday se'nnight, in Kendal, Mr. Robert DAVIS, late of Stainton, maltster, aged 76. 

 

Tuesday se'nnight, aged 72, the Rev. Robert Boucher NICHOLLS, rector of Stoney Stanton, Leicestershire, and Dean of Middleham, in
Yorkshire. 

 

At Gibraltar, on the 14th September last, Hercules Ross MELVILLE, one of the partners of George ALLARDYCE & Co. merchants there, and
son of Alex. MELVILLE, Esq. of Barwhan, Kirkcudbright. 

 

At Maxwelltown, Gallowayshire, yesterday week, Mr. Watson KIRKPATRICK, late of High Kelton. 

 

At Ellieshieshields, Dumfries-shire, on Thursday se'nnight, in consequence of a stroke received from his horse, Mr. Robert BELL,
farmer, aged 40 years. 

 

Lately, in Westminster, aged 85, Edward Hussy DELAVAL, Esq. of Seaton-Delaval, Northumberland, and Doddington, Lincolnshire. He was
the author of several learned works, and valuable discoveries in optics and experimental philosophy. 

 

Lately, at New Orleans, the French General HUMPERT, who was engaged in the invasion of Ireland, in 1798.
