On Monday last, at Warwick, near this city, Mr. Robert HOBSON, of Longwathby, to Miss Margaret BARNFATHER, daughter of the late Mr.
BARNFATHER, grocer here. 

 

The 21st ult. at Crosthwaite Church, Mr. SUTTON, to Miss CROSTHWAITE, late of the museum, Keswick. [According to FamilySearch, they
were Richard SUTTON and Mary CROSTHWAITE.] 

 

Lately, at Kirkby Steven, Mr. John MOORE, of Thwaite Bridge, in Wensleydale, to Miss Jane TUNSTALL, daughter of Mr. Richard
TUNSTALL, of Mallerstang. 

 

Mr. Joseph NEWBOLD, to Miss Isabella HASTWELL, both of Hartly, near Kirkby Steven. 

 

Thursday the 5th inst. at Liverpool, Mr. Robert JACKSON, of that place, merchant, to Miss Betsey JACKSON, daughter of the late Dr.
JACKSON, Ulverston. 

 

Thursday se'nnight, at London, John Webb WESTON, jun. of Sutton Place, Surry, Esq. to Miss GRAHAM, only daughter of Charles, the
brother to Sir James GRAHAM, Bart. of Netherby, in this county. 

 

Lately, at Gretna, John JARDINE, Esq. Ladyward, to Miss Isabella LINDSEY, of Lochmaben.

Yesterday week, Mr. Joseph PATTINSON, of Caldcoats, aged 80. 

 

On Monday, in this city, aged 86, Mrs. Margaret JAMES, widow. 

 

The 6th inst. aged 79, Honora M'CULLEN, widow, of the Damside, without the English-gate. 

 

On Monday last, at Wigton, aged 13, Catherine, daughter of Mr. HALLILEY. 

 

The 17th ult. at Keswick, Mr. Michael CLARK, greatly respected. 

 

Wednesday se'nnight, in Whitehaven, Mrs. Jane BELL, widow, at an advanced age. 

 

Saturday last, in same place, Mr. William DONALD, shipwright, aged 75. 

 

On Wednesday se'nnight, Mrs. WARD, wife of Mr. William WARD, of Old Hutton, near Kendal. 

 

The 30th ult, at Orton, Westmorland, aged 18, Mr. John MILNER, eldest son of the Rev. Robert MILNER, vicar of Orton. 

 

On the 29th ult. at Mallerstang, near Kirkby Steven, aged 26, Mrs. Margaret BRUNSKILL, wife of Mr. Joshua BRUNSKILL. 

 

Thursday last, at Mire End, near Broughton, in Furness, at the great age of one hundred and four years, Mrs. Ann HANCOCK, widow of
Mr. James HANCOCK. 

 

At Ulverston, on Monday last, Mr. DICKINSON, attorney. 

 

On 27th ult. at Houston-Mill, county of East Lothian, aged 63 years, the celebrated Andrew MEIKLE, Inventor of the improved
thrashing mill; and at Known Mill, on the 29th ult. his son George MEIKLE, who invented the water wheel erected at Blair Drummond. 

 

At Shrewsbury, United States, on 14th September, Major-General GREEN, one of the early promoters of the American Revolution.
