On Saturday the 9th instant, in his 49th year, John THOMLINSON, Esq. one of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for this county, and
a Captain in Colonel HOWARD's Rangers. By his death, his acquaintance have to regret the loss of a worthy friend; the poor of a
generous benefactor; and the public of a valuable member of Society. 

 

On the 4th inst. in this city, Mr. James ROWELL, aged 78. 

 

In Caldcots, on Sunday last, Mrs. Anne ROWELL, aged 62.

At North End, Hampstead, on the 29th Oct. after a few days illness, Thomas HUGHAN, Esq. M. P. of Devonshire Place, London, and of
Airds in Galloway. Mr. HUGHAN was a native of Creetown, in the Stewartry of Kirkcudbright. 

 

At Cross-Cannoby, on Monday last, Mr. William AIKEN, of Maryport, to Mrs. Ann SCOTT. 

 

At Dumfries, on Thursday se'nnight, Mr. James HAUGH, an eminent and ingenious gunsmith. 

 

At Dumfries, on the 13th inst. Mr. William CUMROE, surveyor of excise; much respected. 

 

At Ruckenfoot, parish of Turthorald, Dumfrie-shire [sic], Mr. James KELTON, aged 52; a spirited and enlightened farmer. 

 

At Kilmarnock, on the 3d inst. the Rev. J. ROBERTSON, M. A. minister of the Anti-burger Association Congregation there, in the 62d
year of his age, and 34th of his ministry. 

 

On their passage from America, Captain Richard HARRISON, of the brig Dispatch, belonging to Workington. He was washed overboard,
along with his carpenter, by a heavy sea.
